7 TOP online course providers

Improving your career should always be at the top of your agenda. This is one of the biggest differences between the startup and the corporate world: in the startup ecosystem, people are allowed and even encouraged to work in what they are really interested in. As the Founder of Trending Topics, Bastian Kellhofer would say, giving out titles is “annoying”, as everyone should grow to the direction that just feels right. And picking up new skills, like marketing, coding, or whatever feels needed is crucial for this process!

But first, you need to know where to start: how to find the right course provider?

There are so many things to consider: like the authority of the content (meaning who is holding the course), the availability of a certificate, and the opportunity to test the knowledge during the learning process. Another element to evaluate is price: many platforms offer courses without certification for free, while some require a monthly subscription or a one-time fee.

If you start learning a new skill on your own, it shows potential and eagerness to learn. Why is that important?! Well, for a fact, the founder of Katharina Klausberger recommended in our interview to startup founders, that they should hire for personality and eagerness to learn, rather than specific skill sets that can be improved over time. If you show that you’re open for improvement, you’re already on the right track!
