What is Dilution?
Dilution happens when the co-founder(s) issue shares, to investors or additional co-founders, which reduces the relative power of the asset held by existing shareholders. Each preexisting stock, therefore, represents less potency, eventually giving a smaller piece of the cake to the initial co-founders.
