What is a Hockey Stick?
“Hockey stick” is an expression describing a specific growth rate of a startup. It’s usually used by investors, who expect that after a period of stable growth, the startup will go through a phase of a very sudden and continuous economic boom. As the graph is in the shape of a hockey stick, it was named accordingly.
