What is a Lean Methodology?

Build, measure, learn – and do it quickly! This methodology states that instead of long product development and following testing, companies should focus on building products fast, immediately testing them, and adjusting the learnings into their next production phase.

What’s the difference between Lean and Agile?

While the two methodologies are usually used as synonyms, their focus is different. “Lean Methodology” focuses on an optimal production process of a product (i.e. how to produce while having a minimal cost of production). On the other hand, “agile methodology” targets the development process and the conceptual elements of the product (i.e. what target group does the product focus on). From an organizational perspective, the tools of lean methodology aim to enhance processes in the organization as a whole, while agile methodology focuses on individual teams and departments.
